I'm a little sad because I thought I could post pictures for both the boys this week, but Elliot was sick during his mommy & me class so Erik is the only one who got to enjoy Santa this year. Today in fun fashion we celebrated with all of our classmates in school and Santa even came by and brought all the boys and girls presents. (books brought from their parents)
This was Erik's first visit with Santa this year and before we got to school I totally talked Santa up and told him Santa was coming to his class to give him a present. He could barely contain his excitement at the idea of Santa paying him a visit. He did well and rushed over to Santa to pay him a visit.
Last year when we took the Thursday 2's class I created a photobook with images we had taken through the year. Today I thought just in case we decide to create that book again, I will take pictures of all the students and then I took a lot of extra pictures for Erik for his personal photobook. I think this might be the first day I took pictures of Erik at mommy & me school.
My absolute favorite picture of the day was when Erik was helping Celine to put the bike back during clean up time. Absolutely precious!
Here are a couple more of my favorite images from today. Conditions outside are really terrible this time of day to take pictures, it goes from super shady to super sunny and since I manually meter my images I am constantly having to adjust as I run after the kids. It's a challenge and sometimes I make mistakes, but I am getting better at it. This is definitely good practice since I am considering shooting weddings which have similar lighting challenges.
Here are a couple favorite images from this morning. The indoor images were shot by bouncing the flash off the white ceiling.
This is the teacher for both Erik and Elliot's class. Basically I see her a lot during the week. Thank goodness I like her and she has lots of great advice for both my boys.
